Today we got up early and has breakfast at the hotel. We had to eat something as we have a long day o. The coach ahead of us.
We woke up at 5.20am, had breakfast at 6am and was heading to the agency at 6.15am
We checked in and validated our tickets and passport before being transferred to the Coach station via minibus.
The journey was long, but luckily we managed to sleep most the time.
There where 2 stops at the border of Chile and Argentina. We exited Chile drove another 10mins or so to the Argentina border to go through immigrations control.
We then fell back asleep after crossing the border until we finally arrived at El Calafate. The closest town to the glacier. We also passed a lake Largo Argentine the colour of the water was super turquoise. It’s amazing.
Once we pass the town of El Kalafte, we drive another 1hour to get to the national park to see the grand Perito Mereno Glacier.
Admission to the park costs 4000 ARS per person, and if you want to take an optional boat tour colosseum to the glacier it’s an additional 6000 ARS per person.
We decided to opt for the boat trip tour as well. If there’s a opportunity, why not. Not like we will be coming back here any time soon.
