Today is our last day at Santiago, we manage to find a decent price flight to Mexico City. This will allow us to get cheaper accommodation and a new city to explore for several days until we move onto Hawaii.
We had Japanese food for our last meal at Restaurant BADA.
It was really good and fresh, it ticked all the boxes and we were very happy with the choice.
When flying into Mexico, they are required you to have a onward flight to leave Mexico. We missed this part of the requirement and was stopped while boarding our flight from Santiago, Chile.
The staff said we need to have an outbound flight leaving Mexico, otherwise we will be denied boarding. We only had 15mins left before the gate closes.
Luckily I kept calm, but apparently I was shaking. During the process finding a ticket on the phone, double checking everything and proceed with payment. If I were to make any mistakes it would be very costly. The price of the ticket from MEX to HNL was £1124 for the both of us.
Luckily the airport WiFi was fast and the payment went through smoothly. Otherwise there will be more panic as we are racing against time.
